We took a little ride yesterday looking for the rookery in this picture. After a lot of walking we found an ampitheater that hasn't been used in a while. We then walked all the way around the theater and found this pond and rookery. There were a lot of birds, roseate spoonbills (the bill is really like the pictures!)), snowy egrets, blue herons, ibis and a few others I am not sure of. A little bit behind the pond is a golf course; we could see people playing.
The other day we also saw wood storks near the historic area. This spot is right off the road.
